Mission
The foundations mission is to provide quality developmental programs that empower the youth, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive citizens. KWF accomplishes this mission, delivering quality programs that meet the changing needs of young people three core areas: Health, Education, and Employability and Leadership Development. To support activities and approaches which prevent substance abuse, violence or delinquency and supports youth choosing healthy behaviors.
Goals
KWF is a community-based organization whose programs are designed to enhance employment, education and leadership opportunities of high-risk youth while also contributing to the overall economic development of the community. KWF has been engaged in activities designed to improve our capacity to effectively serve our target population and positively impact low-income communities. Specific project activities will include: the assistance of ongoing professional staff to help youth in integrating arts in education and cultural experiences, engaging at-risk youth in the development of a range of multimedia
products and presentations.
Workshops for teens and parents
KWF provides research-based programs that address the social, emotional, intellectual, and developmental needs of adolescent youth who soon develop the skills to successfully navigate the challenges of adolescence . KWF workshops helps provide goals that shape a future generation of strong, competent, and resilient adult able human beings to handle life’s challenges with flexibility and a solid grounding in their own identity.

PROJECTS
Teen Literacy
The Foundation engages in family and community literacy projects that promote and support literacy education in setting other than schools. Educational seminars on regular checking and saving accounts. Teens will learn financial responsibility.
Eligibility
Teenagers (individuals between the ages of 12-18) who reside in Metro Atlanta.
